Easter is one of my favorite holidays, I love coloring the eggs and making the kids cute Easter Baskets, spending the extra time with my family, and enjoying the beauty of new life in the plants, animals, and our new little babies in the family. Our family celebrates this day with Church, an afternoon of food, followed by an egg hunt and the annual cracking of the confetti eggs!!
Sadly this years the kids are all either to young or too old to hunt eggs, but we did enjoy the confetti eggs!! It was also a wet afternoon outside. I choose to believe it was my Pawpaw saying hello, it was the first Easter Sunday without him! He loved this time of year more than anyone does and always wanted us to remember that Easter isn't about the bunny or eggs, It's about Jesus...
The reason I love this time of year so much is because it reminds me of how special life can be, how amazing it is that God created everything we see for us to enjoy, how wonderful it is that Jesus died for our sins, but the best thing about this time of year is that you see the life he created for us. Easter isn't about death its about LIFE... The eternal life that God has promised. Yes, Jesus died for our sins but on Easter he LIVES, on Easter he rose again, on Easter all the promises of a greater life became true!! Easter is the best time of year because HE LIVES...
